Country studies – WP2
PDF Print E-mail

This work package studies the relationships between (EU and national) policies that have effect on land use and landscape, and the changes (or stability) in land use and landscape observed over the past decades.
For this purpose land use and landscape change are analysed as consequence of policies and systems of governance. This is done for the case study areas as described in WP1, for which a detailed map analysis is done of land use change. An analysis is carried out of policy drivers of land use and landscape change and cause-effect relationships between policies and land use and landscape change.
At the national level, selected policies with regard to land use and landscape are studied, for exploring the national implementation process indifferent countries, and how the governance framework influence the policy outcomes. The work focuses on Natura2000 and CAP, in particular the ‘environmental measures’.
